30 Days of Thanksgiving November 2011

Ephesians 5:20: "giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

As always my thanks to my Heavenly Father is based on the scripture above in Ephesians.  I will be listing something that I am thankful for each day in November.

1.  First of all I thank my Heavenly Father for a Christian mother who took me to church and taught me about Jesus.
2.  Today I am thankful for being led to a Bible study of women of the Bible in 2008, led by Rachel Olson of Proverbs 31 Ministries, which led me to start blogging and share my Heavenly Father with those who have visited here.
3.  Okay, I'm not perfect (read #2 again), but then who is except our Heavenly Father. Today, I thank my Father for the many things He has taught me through the many people I have met in "blogland". Some became my very dear friends, some have moved on to other things, but my Heavenly Father has always been with me and led me to new friends. Today, Father, I thank you for those who have become very dear friends and thank You for always helping me find something to post that hopefully helps others and reflects You.
4. After reading Deuteronomy 7:6, from my Friday Feature, I would have to say I am so thankful that the Lord, my God, has chosen me to be one of His special treasures (possessions) out of all the people in this world. To me that is so awesome. Thank you Father for chosing me and I'm so glad I chose you to be my Heavenly Father.
5.  I am so thankful for my dh, my two beautiful daughters, and two grandchildren (one is in college and the other one is 13).  Dear Father, please watch over all them and keep them safe.
Day 6 - I am thankful for Love, God's love for His children and all mankind, the love of my dh, the love of my daughters, my son-in-law, the love of my grandchildren, the love of and for my extended families, the love of friends and the list could go on and on. To me there is no greater love than God's love.
7.  I am so thankful, Father, for prayer.   We can come to You with anything knowing that You will answer our prayers.  I can say this from past experiences when I needed You the most You, were always there and You have answered so many prayers for me and my family. Philippians 4:6-7 says: 6"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;"  7"and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Thank you Father for Prayer.

Jesus gave us a prayer to pray in Matthew 6:9-13.  Listen to the following video.

And a child shall lead them.
Day 8 - Today I am thankful for the Cross.  Hebrews 12:2 "looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Because of the cross upon which Jesus gave His life, we have the promise of forgiveness for our sins, eternal life in Heaven, and healing for our bodies by the stripes He bore upon His back. Jesus bled and died for everyone who will accept Him as their Saviour, live for Him proclaiming the Love of God, the return of Jesus to take us to Heaven, and the indwelling of the sweet Holy Spirit.  Thank you, Father, for the cross. I pray the song, The Old Rugged Cross, by The Gaither Vocal Band, will bless and touch your soul.
