Thankful Thusday - November 19, 2009

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Today is Thankful Thursday hosted by Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey. If you would like to join in, click on the link above and go to Sonya's blog for directions.

Before I start there's a scripture I found this morning that I would like to share with you. It really touched my heart. Psalm 28:17 says "The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with song I will praise Him.."

Last week my TT's were thanks to my Heavenly Father for the help I had in cleaning our apartment. Today is a continuation.

1. I'm thankful to my Father for helping me clean my refrigerator by myself. It took me 2 days but I did it. Because of health issues I have not been able to do things on my own for a very long time. I use to complain about having to do housework, but not anymore. No I haven't lost my mind. It just feels good to be able to do some things that I've had to depend on someone else to do.

2. I'm thankful that God gave health care workers ideas for the medicines I had to take after doing all I did.

3. I'm thankful to my wonderful husband for helping to clean the stove (he cooks on). We've lived here 20 years so you can imagine what was underneath the stove when he pulled it out. He also cleaned some other areas in the house while I was asleep. Sometimes he wakes up about 3 or 4 in the morning and is wide awake so he gets up.

4. Thanks to the office manager who let us use what they use when someone moves out. It was amazing how easy it was for my husband to get that floor completely clean.

5. I'm also thankful to God for an email I got from my cousin in Colorado. I told you all about his nephew taking his own life. His uncle told me they had talked with the man who found his nephew and it appears he may not have committed suicide as the police were so quickly to report. Please continue to pray for this family. My uncle and aunt, the father of the deceased and his other brothers and their families are having a really hard time. May God speak to those who don't know Him and may good things come from what has happened and may He give them peace.

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Today is Thankful Thursday hosted by Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey. Today is Thankful Thursday. If you would like to join in go to the Sonya's for directions (just click on the link above. Two people wrote that my Thankful Thursday on October 15th was a little corrupted. I apologize to those of you who may have tried to read it. It is fixed now but I cannot find that post. I must have deleted it somehow. The "woes" of blogging.

1. My thanks for this week is that we had the opportunity to spend several days at Atlantic Beach with our two daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, a niece and her son recently. Our oldest daughter for the last two years has rented a very nice house not far from where my husband's family were (This was their October fishing week that has been going on for about 20 years.)

2. I am thankful for having the opportunity to spend time with both our families.

3. I am thankful for safe trips for everyone.

4. I am thankful for the time away but have missed all my blogging friends. Yesterday was my first day back although I did read most of your posts.

5. I am thankful for God's help in the loss of my cousin. Sunday was a month since she left this world and I have missed her so much. I look forward to seeing her again one day.

May God bless everyone who visit here. It is my desire that people see God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and not me.

God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
