Happy Thanksgiving

Here is a receipe for a cake I have used for years.  It is a very good one to use for special seasons.  I hope you will enjoy it as much as my family has.

Pistachio Cake

1 box of Duncan Hines White Cake Mix
3 boxes of instant Pistachio Pudding Mix
1/2 cup crisco oil
(doesn't taste the same without this particular oil)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
5 eggs - add 1 at a time
Mix cake and pudding blending well with a fork or spoon
Make a hole in center of cake mix and pudding and add liquids
Blend by mixer on medium speed.
Add one egg at a time and blend well after each.
Bake at 350 degrees in a well greased floured tube pan
for approximately 1 hr. depening upon your oven
I usually bake it 55 minutes.

Frosting
1 box Pistachio Pudding mix
1/2 cup cold milk and blend well
Add a large container of Cool Whip and refrigerate
Frost cake before serving or after the cake is cooled
and frosting is cold.

Soaking on Sonday

Revelation 22:7
"Behold, I am coming quickly!
Blessed is he who keeps the
words of prophecy of this book."

It Looks Like Something Good is About to Happen
The Gaither Trio
My husband and I have been listening to a minister on Wednesday night preaching on the book of Revelation and about the Lord's return to earth. He ended his sermon by leading the congregation in the song above. It really impressed me that I should take a look at my life to be sure I am ready for the return of Jesus. That is something I do not want to miss. Reading the whole chapter  (Revelation 22:1-21) tells a lot more. This is the time I wish I had the knowledge and experience in writing. Let God be your Guide as you read it.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 30 and Word Filled Wednesday

Ephesians 5:20: "giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

As always my thanks to my Heavenly Father is based on the scripture above in Ephesians.  Today is the last day of November and Day 30, the final day of 30 Days of Thanksgiving . Days 1-8 have been moved to Memes just under my header.

Psalm 22:3
"He restores my soul, He guides me in the
paths of righteousness for His name's sake."

Day 30 - Thank you Father for restoring my soul and guiding me in the paths of righteousness. Your love and Your guidance will see me through the rest of my life and I am so glad to call you my Heavenly Father and to be Your daughter. I love You with all of my heart and I want You to shine forth through me that others might realize they need You in their life.

I am also linking this to Word Filled Wednesday at Internet Cafe, where you will find more uplifting scriptures and pictures.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 29

Ephesians 5:20: "giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

As always my thanks to my Heavenly Father is based on the scripture above in Ephesians.  I will be listing something that I am thankful for each day in November. Days 1-8 have been moved to Memes just under my header.

Day 29 - I am having problems with some things, mainly one, with my blog. I cannot click on Comments nor can I add a Gadget in the design of my blog. The picture above with the verse from Matthew 7:7 which says Just ask and you will receive. This is from 365 Promises from God. The verse says "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

I an thankful that God has shown me this verse several times today and I have asked for whatever is broken in my blog will be fixed, in the name of Jesus.  We are so blessed to be able to ask anything of the Father and He will answer.  Thank you, Father, for this promise.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 17

Ephesians 5:20: "giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

As always my thanks to my Heavenly Father is based on the scripture above in Ephesians.  I will be listing something that I am thankful for each day in November. Days 1-8 have been moved to Memes just under my header.

Psalm 91:1-16
Isaiah 25:4

Day 17 - Yesterday there were storms all around us, threats of tornados, strong winds, and hail.  I am so thankful that none of that came through the area we live in.  There was some problems in other areas, but I, as always appropriated Psalm 91.  A very dear friend of mine, who is now resting in peace waiting for the Lord's return, taught me to do this and it has always worked.  Isaiah 25 is Israel's Paise for Kingdom Blessings.  In the middle of verse 4 it says "A refuge from the storm".  Father, I thank you for Your protection in the midst or threat of storms.

PS - My dh has kept up with the news today and several in surrounding counties have lost their homes.  A woman's trailer was moved with her trapped in it, don't know if they got her out or not.  He just told me a grandmother and granddaughter both were killed because of the storms yesterday.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 14

Ephesians 5:20: "giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

As always my thanks to my Heavenly Father is based on the scripture above in Ephesians.  I will be listing something that I am thankful for each day in November. Days 1-8 have been moved to Memes just under my header.

"In the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1 NIV)

Day 14 - Today I am thankful for the Sun, Moon and Stars which God created not only to give us light by day and night to rest our bodies. If I was a great writer I could tell you all that He created the Sun, Moon and Stars (too numerous to count) for.  I know the Sun helps the food, flowers, trees, etc. to grow and helps our bodies for things other than getting sun tans, etc. Thank you, Father, for these things You created for us. There are so many beautiful things that come from these creations. You are an awesome God.
